1. About LineMeUp
LineMeUp provides a digital queue management and booking platform that allows users to join or manage queues at participating businesses such as barbers, salons, and other service providers (“Shops”).
We do not provide the barbering or retail services ourselves. Each Shop listed on LineMeUp operates independently and is solely responsible for the services they provide.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use LineMeUp. By using our Service, you confirm that:
- You are legally capable of entering into binding agreements under applicable law.
- You will comply with these Terms and all applicable regulations.
If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service.
3. Account Registration and Security
- Some features require you to create an account with LineMeUp.
- You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information at registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
- You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or provides false information.
4. How the Queue System Works
- Users can join queues or make bookings with participating Shops using LineMeUp.
- Queue times are estimates only and may vary due to business activity or unforeseen circumstances.
- Users must be present when it’s their turn; otherwise, their place in the queue may be forfeited.
- LineMeUp is not responsible for shop delays, cancellations, staff absences, or service quality.
5. Relationship Between LineMeUp and Shops
- Shops are independent businesses, not employees, partners, or agents of LineMeUp.
- Each Shop is responsible for its own pricing, opening hours, quality of service, and customer handling.
- LineMeUp does not guarantee the performance, safety, or reliability of any Shop.
- Any disputes between a user and a Shop must be resolved directly between them.
6. Payments and Pricing (If Applicable)
If payments or deposits are made through LineMeUp:
- All prices shown are set by the Shop, not LineMeUp.
- Payments may be processed by secure third-party payment gateways.
- Refunds, cancellations, and disputes must be handled according to the Shop's policy unless otherwise required by law.
- LineMeUp is not responsible for incorrect charges or refund delays caused by third parties.
7. Promo Codes and Referral Codes
LineMeUp may offer promotional codes ("Promo Codes") or referral codes ("Referral Codes") that provide discounts, benefits, or other incentives to users. The following terms apply to the use of these codes:
- Single Code Policy: Only one code (either a Promo Code or a Referral Code) can be applied per account or transaction. If you are already using a Promo Code or Referral Code, you cannot apply an additional code. Only one code is acceptable at any given time.
- Code Combination Prohibited: Promo Codes and Referral Codes cannot be combined, stacked, or used simultaneously. Attempting to use multiple codes will result in only one code being applied, at LineMeUp's discretion.
- Code Validity: All codes are subject to expiration dates, usage limits, and other restrictions as specified at the time of issuance. LineMeUp reserves the right to modify, cancel, or invalidate any code at any time without prior notice.
- One-Time Use: Unless otherwise stated, each code may only be used once per user account. Sharing, selling, or transferring codes to other users is prohibited and may result in code cancellation and account suspension.
- Verification: LineMeUp reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any code usage and may require additional information to validate a code's application.
- Abuse and Fraud: Any attempt to abuse, manipulate, or fraudulently use Promo Codes or Referral Codes, including but not limited to creating multiple accounts, using invalid codes, or circumventing code restrictions, will result in immediate account termination and may lead to legal action.
- No Cash Value: Codes have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash, refunded, or transferred. Unused or expired codes cannot be reinstated.
By using a Promo Code or Referral Code, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. LineMeUp's decision regarding code validity, application, and eligibility is final and binding.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes.
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse-engineer our software or servers.
- Misuse, copy, or distribute any proprietary content without permission.
- Impersonate another user or entity.
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent termination.
9. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in LineMeUp, including trademarks, logos, software, and content, are owned or licensed by LineMeUp. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not modify, copy, or reproduce any content without our prior written consent.
10. User Content and Feedback
- Users may submit feedback, photos, or comments through LineMeUp.
- By submitting such content, you grant LineMeUp a worldwide, royalty-free, and perpetual license to use, display, and reproduce that content for business or promotional purposes.
- You are solely responsible for any content you provide and must ensure it does not infringe on others’ rights.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is very important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using LineMeUp, you consent to our data handling practices described in the Privacy Policy. We comply with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
LineMeUp may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control or endorse these external services and are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. Your interactions with third-party services are at your own risk.
13. Service Availability
We aim to keep LineMeUp available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or security reasons. We are not liable for any downtime or technical issues.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- LineMeUp is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including missed appointments, business losses, or data loss.
- LineMeUp’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for using the Service.
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties, express or implied. We make no guarantee that:
- The Service will be error-free or always available.
- Shops will perform their services to any particular standard.
- The information provided is accurate or up-to-date.
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. You may delete your account or stop using LineMeUp at any time. All provisions regarding intellectual property, limitations of liability, and indemnity will survive termination.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect legal, operational, or service changes. When we do, we will post the updated version on our website or app and update the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of LineMeUp after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
